Opening with a funky bassline groove, ‘Confusion’ moves forward as flutters of chopped vocals and stabby synths pass over the mid/hi frequencies on top of the low end acid. A warm and laidback journey through time and space in this futuristic roller that’s deeply routed in archetypal tech-house brutishness.

Next, ’Impress Me’s shimmering pads, peppering percussion and off-beat 808 tom combine harmoniously to create an atmospheric rhythm; stripped back, but full of listener-friendly movement and tough drops taking the listener through spectral gates on an immersive dance journey.

Delivering an uplifting final track, Project 89 eases into a sublimely atmospheric rush hour bomb with ‘Searching’. After the high-hats and punchy kicks open the doors, the track is brought to life as angelic vocals are cleverly employed drifting over lush synth melodies and cerebral lilts; a rich, summery vibe on this deep tech-house bomb.
